By registering for this event, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
Please Read the following regulations carefully and ensure that all members associated with your entry are familiar with these rules and regulations. Â
1. The Town of Strathmore reserves the right to refuse access to the parade by any entry deemed unsuitable or dangerous. Â
2. No smoking or alcoholic beverages are allowed on parade entries or by parade participants. Â
3. All units carrying people must be equipped with adequate restraining devices the can reasonably be considered capable of stopping anyone from falling from the unit. Â
4. If generators, lighting/ special effects are used, a fire extinguisher must accompany the float. Â
5. For safety reasons candy or advertising items may only be handed out along the parade route. Under no circumstances will throwing items from vehicles be allowed. To ensure comfort and safety of all spectators viewing the parade, water guns or apparatus that shoot water or other material are strictly prohibited. Â
6. Ample supervision of children must be provided, prior and during the parade. The ratio being a minimum of 1 adult to 8 children. Â
7. All drivers must have a valid driver’s license and may be asked to present their license when they arrive at the staging area. Â
8. Noises must be kept to a reasonable level during the staging process. The only time required for sirens, blowing of horns, or playing loud music is during the parade itself. Suitable noise levels will be determined by the Town of Strathmore staff and any requests to adjust sound levels must be obeyed. Â Â
9. Those who wish to bike, skateboard, rollerblade, scooter, use ATV’s etc. during the parade must wear proper protective equipment, especially helmets (regardless of age). Â
10. Town of Strathmore staff and law enforcement officers have the right to pull the livestock entry off the route at the first suitable location if the managing of any livestock should be a problem. Â
11. All participants must assume all liability relating to or arising from their involvement in the Strathmore Stampede Parade. The applicant will hold the Town Of Strathmore and its volunteers harmless of any and all claims, actions or causes arising from their participation (see attached liability waiver). Â
12. In the event of an EMERGENCY, parade participants must move to the RIGHT of the parade route to allow clear access for Emergency Vehicles. In the event of a large emergency and the parade must stop, turn into the nearest intersection to your right and cautiously proceed back to the staging area for further direction.
By proceeding you acknowledge that you have read, and will conform to, all rules and regulations established for this event. Additionally, upon receiving notification of acceptance of our entry, we will ensure that all participants associated with our entry are informed of and will abide by the established rules and regulations; and that participants are aware of the possible media coverage.
By proceeding you acknowledge on behalf of the above named entry and all persons described above, I the undersigned have been given the authority to sign on behalf of the Entry and all persons directly or indirectly related to the entry. It is my responsibility to ensure that every person in this entry is aware of and abides by the Application Guidelines and by the Parade Information, Rules and Regulations.  I further agree that the Town of Strathmore nor any of their directors, officers, volunteers, agents, employees, committees, or contractors will be liable for any injury to any person(s) and/or damage to any animal(s) or property suffered in connection with the Parade and related activities, including but not limited to parade set-up, formation, on route operations and dispersal however caused, and I agree to indemnify, release and hold harmless each of them from any and all claims for injury and damage. I further agree that I hereby grant the Town of Strathmore and its legal representatives and assignees the irrevocable and unrestricted rights to use and publish photographs or video recordings in the Entry and the Entry’s participants or persons accompanying it, for editorial, trade, advertising and any other purpose and in any manner or medium. I further undertake to provide all persons directly or indirectly related to this Entry with a copy of this signed Application Form and the Strathmore Stampede Parade Waiver and Rules & Regulations.
By proceeding you agree that on behalf of the business/organization name above and all participants in the entry, I agree that neither the Town of Strathmore, The SWCC, the Strathmore and District Agricultural Society, or any agent, employee or volunteer of these groups, assume any responsibility for any personal injury or property damage suffered in connection with the 2023 Strathmore Stampede Parade however caused (including negligence and excepted only willful misconduct) and agree to release and hold harmless such parties from any claims for such injury or damage.
